VoIP Security, Fraud Prevention and Session Border Controllers

Recently, we have observed an increase in hacker attacks and attempted fraud targeting VoIP telephone systems. By consistently implementing proven best practices, we ensure that all customer systems under our management are optimally protected and kept up to date with the latest security standards. These security measures include, in particular:

  • Proactive fraud detection (fraudulent use of the telephone system) with automated alerting. For our maintenance contract customers, protective measures are implemented immediately.
  • Deployment and configuration of Session Border Controllers (SBCs) that implement central security functions, such as:
    • Enhanced security through encryption, topology hiding, etc.
    • Detection and mitigation of attacks such as Denial of Service (DoS).
    • Prevention of VoIP fraud: Misuse of your telephone line for the paid termination of third-party calls.
    • Resolution of interoperability issues between VoIP components from different vendors.
  • Configuration and activation of blacklisting in telephone systems, such as 3CX, to block unwanted spam calls.

Our engineers possess extensive experience in the security hardening of VoIP telephone systems. This includes expertise in supporting Session Border Controllers such as Ingate SIParator, FRAFOS, Anynode, and Patton.
