Gateways are very powerful network elements that generally act either as a translator between protocols, or to achieve enhanced security. For a VoIP system, they are used to allow for telephone calls across networks, for instance with participants in ISDN networks, or with analog devices. We at IANT have gained a lot of experience over the years with gateway configuration. We regularly configure and deploy them both in combination with our PBX systems, or as a standalone element as according to the customer’s specific requirements.
